Contemporary Poetry from L. Lueder and N. Robinson

This approach is a literary
Memorial, part of a chain
steeped in medicine’s
stretching stews and limits
out of plastic-foam cups
velvety teapots that can be put in
the ethical realms in which
state-owned enterprises never
slowed the narrative

Let’s be humble enough to
mention his soured relationship
and what many regulars swear is
some formless preamble
skinning hogs at a
wholesaler of imported
bitter revolutionary verse
artfully slurred
“They say, ‘It’s $3? Oh, my God!
reality brought into stark relief

In theory the Internet
issued a statement saying:
It is not quite right to say that
he spoke of rivalry
he pulled aside his eyelid to show
I’m talking about hard drives
the trial was a show
a weekly party journal
a deadly outbreak of fungal truly European institutions
and fishery depletion
“I have three messages. One is
there is an old Jewish saying.”

“When?” he asked pointedly,
“What taxes will you raise?”
Today’s solutions need to be trans-single-breasted,
By all means let’s continue rooting for
the twilight with the bats
the $8 billion the unions are demanding
“mental strain” incubated by University
provides a covert outlet
But, feckless as ever
Americans like to think that
writing would vanish
I don’t feel any less British
than about the psyches

Right now the big news is
a really lovely TV ad about
pictures of bloody fetuses
skin peeling off their bodies
wiped out by rising seas–

But it could be the carriage horses
“It’s a lot of peanuts, it’s a lot of
drug use by a welfare applicant

“It’s an absurd, ridiculous, racist
U.S.A.!” Eggs were thrown
at the shirtless and terrified men
still angry about the Holocaust

Germs, theft, and death
described how his wife tried to
save the family’s aged cat with
pillows perfectly bisected
including biscotti

It was pink and yellow, brimming with
a seven-pounder written with
its own fresh salsa
but I don’t think it was published

Was there a hidden leg?
“it’s a complicated question”

A powerful notion of revenge
sought quiet places in a noisy world
protection of a shark cage

It is appalling that
they swoop around my tractor,

I never wanted to become
Jewish, and I still
bought 3,000 pairs of shoes for
shapeless gray flannel abominations.
When these looming obligations
felt any less Italian during the troubling
ability to distinguish
sterile injectables that have ben
soaring vision constrained by mundane objections

But doom can happen,
the dog died at the end.
